Zilkens Best Booth Award

In cooperation with our partner Zilkens Fine Art Switzerland, we will be presenting the Zilkens Best Booth Award for the first time this year. This prize is awarded annually by a jury for the best presentation by a gallery at the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair Berlin. 

Award ceremony on Thursday, 15 September, 7 pm. Plaza, Hangar 6

Opening Party

On Thursday, 15 September, there will be a roaring opening party on the covered tarmac of Tempelhof Airport.
With music by DJane Speedy. From 8 pm.

Talks

During the fair we will present exciting talks on various topics.

Talk with Andreas Greulich (Galerie Greulich) and guests about NFTs and the changing reception and collection opportunities.

Friday, 16 September, 4 pm
Artist Talk about the work and life of Boris Lurie and NO!art.
With Prof. Dr. Beate Reifenscheid (Ludwig Museum Koblenz) and Dr. Thomas Heyden (Neues Museum Nuremberg). Moderated by Rafael Vostell (Boris Lurie Foundation).

Saturday, 17 September, 3 pm
Lecture and talk with Andreas Greulich (Galerie Greulich, Frankfurt am Main) about crypto art and NFTs.

Berlin Hyp Award 2022

POSITIONS Berlin awards artists exhibiting at the fair to present their works in a solo show in cooperation with BERLIN HYP. 
2022 we present new works by Jaeyun Moon and Maria Seitz in a solo presentation each at Stand S06.

Award ceremony for Berlin Hyp-Award 2022 on Saturday, 17 September, 2 pm, Plaza Hangar 6.

Boris Lurie

In a special exhibition we will present selected works by the US artist Boris Lurie (1924 - 2008), the co-founder of the New York NOart! movement. This exhibition is produced in cooperation and with the support of the Boris Lurie Art Foundation, Clifton, New Jersey.

Academy POSITIONS by Berlin Hyp

POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair presents young contemporary artistic positions by 27 graduates and students of German and international art academies. With the special support of Berlin Hyp. 
The selected artists from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Ljubljana are supported by SKICA Berlin - Slovenian Cultural Information Centre Berlin.

Selected POSITIONS

With Selected POSITIONS we want to offer new collectors a start into the art market. In this curated exhibition, we present artworks that measure a maximum of 50 x 50 cm and are in the lower price segment. With works by Nicolò Baraggioli, Giovanni Castell, Damien Daufresne, Simone Haack, Helena Hafemann, Monika Huber, Ai Kijima, Anders Kjellesvik, Emma Kohlmann, Maija Kurseva, Tamara Kvesitadze, Dieter Mammel, Henrik U. Artima POSITIONS

Mannheimer Versicherung AG is committed to an artist who is worth rediscovering. This year, ARTIMA is presenting the artist Galli in a special exhibition in cooperation with Galerie Georg Nothelfer, Berlin.

Fashion POSITIONS

With this special project, we present selected Berlin fashion designers who, at the interface between art and fashion, stage the aesthetic signature of their labels in the context of and in exchange with art.

Kids POSITIONS

The kids programme at POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair is a perfect and safe place for all children from the age of six to let off steam creatively and play while their parents visit the fair. 

The kids programme will be offered throughout the weekend:
Friday, 16 September, 3 - 7 pm
Saturday, 17 September, 12 noon - 7 pm
Sunday, 18 September, 10 am - 3 pm

The kids area is located in Hangar 6, right at the entrance next to the VIP and ticket counter. Pre-registration of your children is not necessary. Food and drinks will be provided.

Friday Night POSITIONS

On Friday night, 16 September 2022 Berlin based galleries participating in POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair open their exhibitions until 9 pm. Further information will follow.
